How do I use the Autodesk DWF Viewer?

The following commands are available in the DWF Viewer: Pan, Zoom, Zoom to Rectangle, Fit to Window, Full View, Named Views, Print, Save As, About DWF Viewer, Back, and Forward. In the DWF Viewer window, clicking the right mouse button displays these commands in the DWF Viewer menu.

Where can I get aerial photos?


Aerial photos may be obtained from the Mapping Department.  We have 1993 hardcopies of photos (4 sections on one photo) available in our office.  We also have 2001 Digital Orthophotography available in TIF or Mr.SID formats that we put on CD.  See below for pricing information.

The Sauk County High Accuracy Reference Network information has been moved to the County Surveyor's page. You may access it by clicking here now.

What information is available in your office?


The County Surveyor's records are kept in our office. We have Certified Survey Maps, Plat of Survey Maps, Mortgage Inspections, and Section Corner Tie-Sheets. We also have WPA (Works Projects Administration) records and limited Highway Plans as well as hard copies of 1993 Orthophotography and digital 2001 orthophotography.  The Tax Parcel maps that we produce are kept in the Treasurer's Office, although they are also housed on this website (See the Mapping Home Page). We now also house the Flood Plain Maps produced by FEMA.

Where do I go for additional information?


Tax Parcel Maps are located in the Treasurer's Office.
Topographical Maps are in the Planning & Zoning Department.
Zoning and Fire Sign Maps are also in the Planning & Zoning Department.
Soils information is available in the Land Conservation Department.
Older Aerial Photography (pre-1993) is available at the Farm Services Agency.
Orthophoto's of smaller areas than the 4-section photo's in our office are available in the
Farm Services Agency.

Product Charges and Fees

DIGITAL ORTHOPHOTOGRAPHY (2005) -

Quad (4 section file) = $50
- No discount for multiple files, each file requested is the $50 charge

Township = $450
- Township consists of a town proper (ex: Fairfield) or town/range (ex: T13N, R6E)

CONTOURS -

Section files = $25

Township = $750

DTM GRIDS

Section files = $50

Township = $1500

DIGITAL ORTHOPHOTOGRAPHY (2001) -

22 CD'S cover the County per Town/Range

-basically charge per township/range or per township proper

(Baraboo,Delton etc...) =$100/ township on a CD

(If a township proper does not fit on one CD it is not an extra charge)

MR. SID DIGITAL ORTHOPHOTOGRAPHY (2001)

1 CD for the Entire County = $200 for the CD coverage of Sauk County

DTM (2001) per tile

HYDROLOGY/WETLANDS (2001) entire County

DIGITAL PARCEL MAPS

DIGITAL CENTERLINES (2001) entire County

=$50 per file/tile/coverage

*Whatever is put on a CD for these files/tiles/coverages is a flat $50 fee

HARD COPY DUPLICATION CHARGES

Letter, Legal, Ledger size copies = $0.25 per page

Any pages larger than 2ft charge per foot = $1 / per foot

18" X 24" standard property assessment maps (Treasurer's Maps) = $2 / page

1993 Rectified Orthophoto copies - $5.00 per page
