The Sauk County Land Conservation Committee is a standing committee of the Sauk County Board of Supervisors and is established pursuant to chapter 92, Wisconsin Statutes. The committee coordinates natural resource management and environmental protection activities in the county relating to agriculture, soil and water conservation, nonpoint source water pollution control, farmland preservation, erosion control, flood control, groundwater protection, and wildlife damage. The committee is composed of five members from the Sauk County Board and one member from the USDA Farm Service Agency committee. The committee meets monthly. The time and date of the next scheduled monthly meeting of the Land Conservation Committee is posted on the official courthouse bulletin board, noticed in the newspaper, and it can be viewed on this website as well as the minutes from monthly meetings. Anyone interested is invited to attend. A copy of meeting agendas or minutes can be obtained through the website or by contacting the Land Conservation Department.
