Suzanne Maillette

Suzanne is a self-taught artist currently living in Merrimac; a transplant from the Chicago area. She moved to Merrimac in 2004 when she retired from business in interior decorating. Since moving to Wisconsin, she's spent most of her time developing her artistic style.

The works shown here are acrylic on canvas, with a major emphasis on using heavy-bodied mediums that create an understructure which is actually the painting itself. The second phase, adding color, is integrated into the surface with the goal of achieving fluid unity between the two.
