Accessibility Policy and Options

Standards Compliance

We are striving for WAI WCAG 1.0 compliance as well as compliance to the Federal Government's Section 508 amendment to the Federal Rehabilitation Act.

We meet most all of the Level 'AAA' WCAG guidelines and Section 508 requirements. There are other minor corrections to be made, but the following are the major exceptions and corrections.
WCAG Level 'A' : Most Table requirements
WCAG Level 'AA' : Most Table requirements and Relative Sizes
WCAG Level 'AAA' : Most Table requirements
Section 508 : Most Table requirements

There are some structural items we are still addressing.

We test our pages using Bobby/WebXact and pages are also viewed using the text-only browser Lynx.

If you notice any glaring accessibility concerns please contact us and we will make a reasonable attempt to correct it. Accessibility is a work in progress, so please be patient.

Overriding Site Style Sheet

Applying Personalized Style Sheet : For some of the modern browsers you have the option of applying a personalized Cascading Style Sheet to the site. Creating a Style Sheet is beyond the scope of this document but we will show you where to go to apply a personalized style sheet, if you have one. This may be done to increase the font size, change the font type, change background, link and text colors, and many other things. This site has been designed to give you the option to doing this. We still have some work to do before we perfect this technology. Browser support for personalized style sheets is rather quirky, so be prepared. A listing of the styles to be commonly overridden can be found here for your convenience.

Others : Browser specific non-style sheet based style changes.
